Following the leaked assets that were released on Xbox.com last month, Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil Revelations 2 is in development and will launch in 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
The official confirmation came during Sony’s pre-TGS PlayStation press conference in Japan, alongside a live action teaser trailer which can be seen above. Interestingly, the sequel to Resident Evil Revelations will not follow the story of Jill and Chris, with little else known regarding the titles plot.
The original Resident Evil Revelations launched on 3DS in 2012, before being remastered in HD and released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Analog Addiction reviewed the HD release, praising the entertaining narrative, but found the archaic controls held back the overall experience.
