During today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata showcased some new footage, new details and announced that Kirby: Triple Deluxe will release in Europe May 18.

The new footage shown gives us a better look at some of the combat techniques Kirby can use to take down his foes, though Kirby games have always been easy to understand and play Kirby: Triple Deluxe also has added depth throughout combat.

Nintendo also revealed some collectibles that will be included in Kirby: Triple Deluxe. Players will have to find new 8-bit keychains, alongside sun stones (which will help you progress in the game) which will both be hidden within each level.

Nintendo also detailed some of the StreetPass specific features in Triple Deluxe. When players find Waddle Dee throughout the game, players will receive helpful items. If a player has StreetPassed another player recently he will throw a better item, however if you StreetPass someone who owns Triple Deluxe you will also receive one of the collectible keychains.
