‘Mario Kart 8’ Release Date, New Characters Revealed

During the latest Nintendo Direct Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata, revealed a new trailer for the upcoming Wii U exclusive title Mario Kart 8.
The new trailer showcases more of the frantic racing action fans of the Mario Kart series have come to expect, including the new ability to drive upside down. The stunning HD visuals allow for some beautiful character models, alongside a vibrant array of courses. Mario Kart has never looked this good.
The new footage also revealed many new characters that will be making their first appearance in the Mario Kart series. Bowser’s mischievous Koopalings will all be playable in Mario Kart 8, which will be a first for the franchise.
The biggest Mario Kart 8 announcement came in the form of the official release date, which will see a release on May 30.
