Ubisoft has released a plethora of Far Cry Primal content today, which includes a new gameplay trailer, behind-the-scenes video, screenshots and concept images.

Firstly, the new gameplay trailer focuses on the 3 dormant tribes that players will encounter in the land of Oros. Playing as Takkar, of The Wenja tribe, the player must deal with multiple attacking tribes that are putting Takkar’s people at risk. These include the cannibals of the Udam tribe led by the warrior Ull, and the fire worshipers of the Izila tribe, led by high priestess Batari. Takkar must unite his tribe in order to protect his people from these dangerous enemies.

The new screenshots also gives showcase both the vicious leader of the Udam tribe, Ull, and the leader of the Izila tribe, Batari. The character concept images also give us a better look at the intricate character design of both leaders, as well as a look at some of the key figures in The Wenja tribe.

The second video offers a behind-the-scenes look at the extreme lengths Ubisoft has gone to replicate the ancient languages of the Stone Age, as well as some more information on the opposing tribes Takkar must face. Ubisoft has worked with several members of the University of Kentucky in order to authentically replicate (to the best of their ability) the ancient forms of language that were around during the Stone Age, which many believe are the backbone of many languages people use to this very day.

Excited for Far Cry Primal? Well you will be happy to know the wait for the launch of Far Cry Primal is almost over, with the release coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 23, and Windows PC on March 1.
