‘Far Cry 4’ Interactive Website Launched, Exclusive Content

Ubisoft has launched an interactive Far Cry 4 website, which will allow players to experience a video version of the choose your own adventure formula. The website is aimed to showcase the unpredictable nature of the Far Cry 4’s dangerous land, Kyrat; which is available here.

The interactive films feature real life individuals and locations, as players will have to think on their feet and test their reaction time to survive. Players will be able to go through 4 different rites of passage, with each rite being released on a weekly basis. which Ubisoft have detailed below.

An eye for an eye – A deadly face-to-face. Rabbit hole – An impenetrable mind maze. Mind Blossom – A hypnotic trance. Escape -A blindfolded sound chase.

Each rite will contain choices that will need to be made in mere seconds, with each choice altering how the next moment of your journey will take place. Ubisoft has stated there are “up to 42 million different routes and it would require up to 100 days to explore” them all.

At the conclusion of each rite, the player’s choices will be analysed and their personality will be determined, once this is complete players will be able to unlocked exclusive content within Far Cry 4 via Uplay.


“We are looking forward to seeing the reaction of fans. This interactive campaign really puts the player at the centre of the experience offering a new and more intense approach to the game and its universe”, said Guillaume Carmona, EMEA Marketing Director.

“This platform will allow each fan to live a totally different experience. That’s the beauty of a game like Far Cry 4 as players can actually create their own path, just like with this website. Each decision matters and conditions the outcome.”

Far Cry 4 launches on the November 18 in North America and Europe, and on the November 20 in Australia for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
